I recently came across a post by my friend on FB which defended naxalism in India..on reading the post my first reaction was of shock..Just last week thanks to naxal attacks around 80 CRPF personnel died in Chattisgarh, India..
Agreed that hardly anything has been done for the development of tribals in India..but is killing innocent CRPF jawans the solution? Why don’t Naxals target the real culprits, that’s the government! Why are innocent people being butchered in the quest for abolishing poverty! And I found it even more irritating on learning that top corporate houses located in these naxalite-infested areas are forced to cough up money, if they want to resume their operations normally..My point is where all this money going! If they are looting money from rich, why are the tribals not receiving any! I don’t see any big economic changes happening in their lives!
What appalled me further was when this particular friend in question commented that someone has to pay the price! That’s just so ridiculous! I mean is the jawans’ fault that they are on duty 24 hours, sacrifice their food, sleep only to keep our nation safe! I think it’s just not done..
